Missed The Chance

In my freshman english class, we had an assignment to write an essay on a pivotal moment in someone's life.

We had a month to finish the essay but I could not decide who I wanted to write it on. I figured I had a whole month so there was no reason to rush it.

Well the month flew by and the night before I remembered about the assignment. I through it together in about an hour. It was awful! Miss spelled words and sentences that went on and on were just some of my issues. I didnt have time to fix it though so I just turned it in like that and figured I could make it up with other grades.

The next day the teacher annouced that the essays were for a state wide contest and that the first prize was $1,000! I was so mad at myself for procrastinating and throwing that essay together so sloppily!

All because I procrastinated I lost the chance at winning $1,000 and got a poor grade on the essay too.
