Spikes in the road

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people speed on residential streets. It drives me crazy. People are trying to back out of their driveways, kids are riding their bikes there, people are walking, kids are playing. SLOW DOWN!

I live on a busier residential road and we live across the street from an elementary school and it's playground. But because it's a busy main road with a shoulder people are always driving too fast. What I do when I see someone coming up behind me on our road and they are clearly going too fast, I don't go home. I keep proceeding up the road at exactly the speed limit until they turn off.

What I would love to do is put in remote controlled spikes. Then, when I see cars going to fast I could hit a little button and blow out their tires. That would slow them down.
