My pet peeve
I hate and always have hated one thing above all things. And that is simply: when teachers erase the board and leave lots of little marks on the board. It’s because they have to go on teaching, and have no time to erase the whole board, apparently. Completely understandable, but yet completely annoying. And then you have to try to listen to what they are saying, but you can't because your to focused on the little dry erase (or chalk) marks.
And then they go and write right over the little marks that they have left from last time. It’s literally like: when there is no room left on the board to write the teacher will just take the eraser and do one little swipe. One swipe. As if that is good enough. Then lots of students zone out and sit in pain watching those marks left on the board. Just staring at those marks. All eyes on the marks. And teachers wonder why people don't listen. Ha!
In math the teacher would write an equation think to herself "woops no more room, guess I’ll have to erase this equation, or just HALF of it. Oh and then I will write another equation right over it. Yup. and the kids will (WON"T) be able to read it perfectly even though there is a million numbers and squares and yadda yadda but I have no time to erase the whole thing, because I need to teach or they won't learn even though they won't learn anyway because they will be deeply perturbed by the mess on the bored." Yeah that’s what teachers say, I am sure.
And then when they write something on the board and oh no they messed up so they will then proceed to make big gross scratch marks, with dry erase marker, when there is an eraser within an inch away, oh my gosh!
Which reminds me how annoying it is when someone is using a pencil, but they make scratch marks anyway. And what is the point of those stupid little pencils with no erasers.....wow.....all so annoying pound pound punch pound (and no I don't have ocd this erase mark problem is very common for students).
