Loud toys which require batteries

I hate loud toys! And what's worse, I hate buying batteries giving people permission to pollute my space with sirens, helicopter sounds, crying babies, just plain noise! When my kids were younger I gathered up a box full of "gifts" (curses is more like it) their grandparents had given them and sent every last one of them back to their house. Peace! Quiet! Ahhhhh! I then made an announcement that any further toys which make any sound at all will be required to say at their house.
